It's Not What You Think

Ever since I created this post, I've developed a fascination with porn. Yarn porn, that is. You know - ogling attractive images of yarn for the sheer pleasure of it. Here's yet another color combination that really appeals to me. And one that I hope to use in a project in the near future.
(The yarn insisted on throwing in some gratuitous "sexy" poses, for all you other yarn porn connoisseurs out there.)

While surfing my collection of favorite knitting sites the other day, I discovered that Kim Hargreaves new Fall Collection is out. Here are my favorites:

While I wouldn't necessarily choose those colors if I were to make it, I love the boat neck and the light, airy texture of the fabric.

What can I say? I would feel so French and sophisticated in this. ;)

I absolutely love the neckline on this. And it doesn't hurt that the colors of the sweater and hat together, are one of the combinations I currently have a crush on.

Another recent discovery? The Etsy shop of Margin. If you crave cuteness, click that link - you won't regret it! I've already imagined many of those prints plastered all over my daughter's bedroom walls.

I totally know the feeling of ogling yarn catalogs... I hate to throw them away, because then I can't look at the pretty yarn anymore.

One of the best places for cruising porn, I mean yarn catalogs, is the bathtub (MHO).
Had to take out the Gryffindor sweater and start again - miscalculated the gauge - but it's very fast. I'll post the pattern once I figure it out.

That pink sweater is just gorgeous... really great neckline as you say. ;) As my knitting skills are restricted to scarves and blankets for dolls (which are just wide short scarves) I can't see myself being able to make something like that... but a great sweater like that might inspire me to try.
